Crew West is now the proud owner of a Glidecam HD-4000 camera stabilizing system. Glidecam is a competitor to Tiffen’s Steadicam. Along with the Glidecam we purchased the X10 arm and vest. The arm and vest make stable shooting easier and prolongs the shooter’s endurance. The Glidecam HD-4000 has a weight rating of up to 15 pounds. This makes it perfect for cameras like the 5D Mark ll, Sony F3 and FS 100, or even a stripped down RED Epic. The majestic floating look achieved when using the Glidecam always brings an extra amount of class to any production. Because of the Glidecam HD-4000’s smaller size the cost to our clients compared to a large Steadicam rig is less than half.
